The Database Administrator position is responsible for supporting multiple ERP systems with back-end Oracle and MS SQL database environments. This position will a key member of the IT infrastructure team which provides global technical support for multiple ERP and financial consolidation business systems.

Requirements:

  • Provide technical support for multiple database environments (production/test/disaster/recovery)

  • Fine tune multiple database environments to maximize performance

  • Collaborate with applications and infrastructure teams in providing superior technical expertise

  • Cloning/refreshing multiple ERP databases in support of testing and development environments

  • Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information

  • Key member of technical team that supports external hosting sites

  • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis with the infrastructure team

  • Owning, tackling and resolving databases related incidents and requests

  • Provide reports development and generation to meet business needs

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation

  • Willing to learn MS O/S server operating systems and VMware in support of mission critical applications in multiple virtualized environments.

  • 3-5 years' experience working with a standard ERP system.

  • Certification or equivalent experience in Oracle and MS SQL database administration

  • Experience performing Oracle database installation, patching, and upgrades

  • Database performance tuning skills

  • Experience with cloning/refreshing databases

  • Data Pump, RMAN experience Unix shell scripting Experience supporting SAP Oracle databases is a plus

  • Expertise and experience with complex technical activities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methods
