Description We have a great opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in networking hardware and software. This is a great job for someone who is well versed in interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure. There is a job opening being hired through Robert Half for a Network Engineer with a high attention to detail and a passion for the field. This permanent Network Engineer position is located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
Major responsibilities
Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including hardware, hubs, bridges and routers
Work alongside vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
Set up and manage network test facilities
Maintain a secure transfer of data to a variety of locations via internal and external networks
Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks Requirements
Requirements:
Networking experience
An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued
Cisco Routers experience
Knowledge of TCP/IP
Experience with Network Engineering
Network communication experience preferred
DHCP DNS experience
