Robert Half Front Office Assistant in Irvine, California

Description

We are in the process of recruiting a Front Office Associate to be part of our team located in Irvine, California. The primary function of this role is to provide front office support and ensure smooth patient flow and continuous communication within the department. The role will also involve interacting with patients, their family members, or surrogate decision makers, and the public, while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform a variety of clerical duties and front office operations to support patient care activities

• Maintain accurate initial demographic and clinical patient information and enter it into the medical record

• Compile and prepare patient charts and ensure they have all the required paperwork prior to the patient’s procedure

• Coordinate and execute patient scheduling including confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling

• Maintain prompt communication of schedule changes to all appropriate locations and individuals including clinical staff/Supervisors

• Utilize various software, including department-specific programs, to schedule, enter charges, find and scan documents, and accurately enter patient information

• Assist clinical staff as needed with patients and family members

• Participate in the continuous quality improvement process.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suites is required

• Demonstrated experience in customer service and strong communication skills

• Ability to effectively manage office functions such as clerical duties, filing, and coordination

• Previous experience answering inbound calls and providing workstation support

• Knowledge of insurance processes, medical coverage, and benefit functions

• Proficient typing skills

• Experience handling cash drawers and deposits

• Familiarity with medical records and HealthCare.gov platform

• Understanding of confidentiality principles related to medical records and clinical trial operations

• Experience with confirmations, copays, and other related procedures

• Ability to provide support for benefit functions and medical coverage
