Robert Half Plant Accounting Manager in Jackson, Michigan

Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor for our manufacturing operations based in JACKSON, Michigan, 49203-6414, United States. This role involves overseeing all financial and accounting related matters for the organization. The successful candidate will assist the Divisional Controller and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing financial analysis, managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

• Perform and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounting duties

• Carry out various types of financial analysis, including inventory analysis

• Assist with month-end closing procedures including preparing and posting accrual journal entries

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements and reports

• Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliation

• Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters

• Assist with weekly flash, quarterly forecast and annual budget

• Assist with annual audit package

• Use Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records

• Supervise Reception/Admin employees and delegate tasks as necessary

• Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards

• Work on-site in Jackson, Michigan. Requirements • Must have proven experience in a similar role as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a requirement.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions is essential.

• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Should possess strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• Must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• A strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation is necessary.

• Should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Should have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
