Description Robert Half is partnering with a construction/manufacturing company to source for an Accounting Manager. The ideal Accounting Manager will join a growing accounting team in Jurupa Valley, California. This hybrid role involves overseeing the accounting operations of the company, managing the accounting team, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the accounting team to ensure efficient operations • Oversee the processing and organization of large amounts of data • Apply advanced computer skills on Microsoft Office and accounting software and databases • Handle sales, use, property, diesel tax matters • Ensure the application of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all operations • Direct and supervise accounting operations for maximum efficiency • Use skills in 'Monthly Sales Tax' and 'Vertex Sales & Use Tax' for tax calculations and reporting • Oversee the physical demands and vision abilities required by the job. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounting Manager role or similar • Proficiency in Monthly Sales, Use, Property, Diesel Tax is required • Experience with Vertex Sales & Use Tax is a plus • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are necessary • Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required • Must have a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and legislation • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred • Experience with accounting software and databases is desirable • Ability to work independently, manage large, diverse teams and work well under deadlines is necessary.
