The Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper position Robert Half is currently filling in the Automotive industry could be a good fit for you. This long-term contract / contract to permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Keene, New Hampshire. In this position, you will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, as well as establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll
Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time
Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management Requirements - 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Good understanding of Expense Reconciliation
Adeptness in Bank Account Reconciliation
Cash reconciliations experience highly preferred
Sage Accounting Software experience highly valued
Prepare Financial Statements experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation
Experience with Sage Software
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of financial statement preparation
Proficiency in Financial Statement
Earlier work involving Daily Reconciliation
Previous experience working with financial reconciliation
Background working with Credit Card Reconciliation
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Account reconciliation experience
General familiarity with account reconciliation
Prior experience with Microsoft Excel
Comprehension of Sage Peachtree Windows
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
Monthly Financial Statements experience desired
High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Proficiency with Quickbooks
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Payroll experience preferred
