Description
Jennie Joiner with Robert Half has a reputable non profit client in Klamath Falls, Oregon seeking a Grants Business Manager to join their growing team. The Grants Business Manager is responsible for post-award grants management and the related day -to-day business functions pertaining to the grants and sponsored projects. Will work with grant accounting to facilitate and monitor grant related accounting transactions. Will be responsible for the financial management of grants and sponsored projects as well as preparation and submission of financial reporting. Grants and fund accounting management would be ideal but not required to be considered for this role. Must have strong experience working in the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciliation and financial statement preparation. This organization offers outstanding benefits and vacation! Additional requirements;
Bachelor’s degree in business/management but open to a similar degree
Three years' experience in related field
Ability to plan, prioritize tasks and organize well to meet deadlines.
Advanced level Excel
Experience with recording accounts and financial transactions.
5+ years' experience preparing journal entries, posting from journals to general ledger or preparing original general ledger entries.
Requirements - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Excellent attention to detail
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
ERP system experience
Vow to meet business deadlines
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Foundational knowledge in grant accounting
Well-founded grasp of journal entries
Deep understanding of Private Grants
Expertise in Foundation Grants
General familiarity with general ledger
Solid understanding of Government Grants
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Fund accounting experience highly desired
