We are offering an opportunity for a Billing Clerk role in the Life Sciences industry at our La Jolla, California location. The primary function of this role is to help manage our backlog of orders and ensure the correct translation of work orders into our accounting system. This role requires minimal customer service as the main goal is to assist us in getting caught up with our billing process.

Responsibilities:

• Work through the backlog of orders in a systematic and timely manner

• Utilize our internal software program to pull up work orders

• Ensure accurate translation of work orders into our accounting software system

• Set up customers correctly in the system to receive invoices

• Follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) guide for the billing process

• Collaborate with the larger billing team and dedicated Supervisor to resolve any issues or queries

• Use MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Microsoft Excel to manage and track work orders

• Apply skills in Billing, Customer Service, Collections, and Accounts Receivable (AR) to perform tasks effectively

• Minimize the need for customer service, focusing primarily on helping us get caught up with billing.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role such as Billing Clerk or in the finance sector.

• Proficient in MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Demonstrated experience in Billing and Collections.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in finance or related field is a plus.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
