Legal Administrative Assistant
Our client, a leading transactional law firm located in West Denver is looking for a 5 plus years real estate/corporate transactional secretary with 5 plus years of legal secretarial experience. This supports a partner and a couple of associates in the transactional law practice. The candidate should have strong word processing, spelling & grammar, as well as the ability to take dictation. We are looking for a typing speed of 65 wpm and someone with strong proofing and editing skills. We are looking for someone who is proactive, stays ahead of deadlines, keeps the partner organized and a quick study! Strong Office Suite skills and attention to detail are required. Requirements - 5+ years of previous legal work experience and a dedication to integrity
Investigating the factual evidence of a transaction or case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams to display information
Proficiency in proofreading
Solid understanding of Legal Assistant
Good understanding of Legal Issues
Adeptness in Calendaring
Earlier work involving Legal Correspondence
Practical knowledge of Legal Billing
Coordinating Schedules experience
Typing over 60 words per minute experience required
Demonstrated knowledge of Dictation
Corporate & commercial experience highly valued
Experience with Calendar Management
Legal files experience highly preferred
Previous experience working with legal knowledge
General familiarity with Corporate Legal
Background working with Legal Documentation
Conducting routine discovery
Drafting legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas; transactional documents, such as trusts, wills, contracts and real estate leases; and closing documents
Experience assisting lawyers in preparing for transactional closings, depositions, hearings, trials and conferences; completing many administrative tasks, including, working on individual cases or transactions
Organizing and tracking files for important transactions or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database
