Description

A company in Lancaster, CA is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time. This is a hybrid position, but you MUST be able to go ONSITE 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll, including:

Collecting and verifying timesheet data and other payroll information.

Calculating gross pay, deductions, and net pay.

Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Processing garnishments and other court orders.

Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits.

Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.

Conduct audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy.

Research and stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.

Liaise with other departments (e.g., HR, Finance) regarding payroll matters.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a payroll specialist role.

Strong understanding of payroll software.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
