Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the transport industry. Based in Lansing, Michigan, you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to billing and cash management. This role is a great fit for individuals who have excellent attention to detail and can efficiently handle accounts receivable, cash posting, and cash management tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and timely processing of billing information
• Management of accounts receivable
• Efficiently handling cash posting activities
• Ensuring effective cash management procedures are followed
• Resolving billing discrepancies and queries promptly
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports related to billing and receivables
• Communicating with clients regarding billing issues and payments
• Collaborating with the finance team to improve and streamline the billing process
• Maintaining up-to-date, accurate customer billing records
• Adhering to all company policies and industry regulations related to billing and accounts receivable. Requirements • Proficiency in billing processes and understanding of accounts receivable (AR)
• Experience with cash posting and management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced transport industry environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficient in the use of computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development and learning
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
