Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Leominster, Massachusetts

Description Join our non-profit client as an Accounting Associate! We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage our accounts receivable functions while also assisting with accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger tasks. This role is perfect for recent accounting graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts. Assist with accounts payable tasks, such as processing invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining vendor records. Support payroll processing by verifying timecards, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. Contribute to general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial data entry and reporting. Provide support during audits and financial reviews by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Up to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Sage accounting software is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrable experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing procedures

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software

• Ability to work in a non-profit environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
