Robert Half FInance & Accounting is partnering with an eCommerce media company, known for delivering gen-next digital media and services globally. Given their rapid expansion and ongoing diversification, they're on the lookout for a seasoned driven Director of Accounting who is capable of shaping the financial processes and systems of the company.

Job Description:

This role encompasses managing comprehensive accounting operations, developing financial process strategies, establishing financial reporting systems, and ensuring strict compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all facets of accounting operations including but not limited to A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition.

  2. Craft collaborative links with finance and operations teams to augment financial systems/processes.

  3. Direct preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report discrepancies.

  4. Ensure the timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  5. Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.

  6. Manage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  7. Arrange annual audits with external auditors.

  8. Analyze, prepare, and present financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be an advantage.

  2. A proven track record as a Director of Finance or Accounting, preferably in an eCommerce environment.

  3. Minimum 8 + years of combined experience in accounting and finance.

  4. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.

  5. Proven experience in the construction of financial statements and financial reporting.

  6. Demonstrated excellence in using accounting software.

  7. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

  8. Strategic thinking and superior numerical acumen.
