Description
Well-known and growing law firm with 100 attorneys across multiple states seeks a litigation associate with 1+ year of civil litigation experience. This litigation associate will join a firm known for our collaborative and supportive work environment who believes in fostering professional development and creating a space where attorneys can thrive without the pressure of billable hours. We are seeking a talented and motivated Litigation Associate with 1+ years of experience in civil litigation and employment law to join our team.
This litigation associate role offers flexibility, no billable hours required, mentorship and development. We have placed attorneys and staff with this firm who are happy!
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of assigned civil litigation and employment law cases, from intake and investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and, if necessary, appeal.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis, draft pleadings and legal documents, and prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
Collaborate effectively with partners, associates, and paralegals to strategize and develop winning legal arguments.
Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and advising them of legal options.
Maintain a professional and ethical demeanor, adhering to all applicable rules of professional conduct.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in the state of California.
1+ years of experience in civil litigation and employment law, with a strong understanding of relevant legal principles and procedures.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
Proficient in legal research databases and case management software.
