Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.

  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and anomalies, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial projections.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, and assist with audits and tax filings as needed.

  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls and procedures to streamline processes and mitigate risks.

  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.

  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller or CFO.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all work activities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
