Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and anomalies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial projections.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, and assist with audits and tax filings as needed.
Evaluate and enhance internal controls and procedures to streamline processes and mitigate risks.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller or CFO.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong technical proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all work activities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
