Robert Half Staff Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for various monthly accounting tasks within the company. This includes processing and reconciling general ledger journal entries, preparing financial statements, and conducting account analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly accounting tasks for various entities, including foundations and joint ventures
• Review the property management ledger and enter new projects into the system
• Support the Senior Accountant in preparing and reconciling various account analyses
• Assist in health plan funding and create journal entries for all applicable entities monthly
• Assist in reconciling health plan bank account
• Prepare financial statements and conduct account analysis
• Train as backup for other accounting functions
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Use office skills and take on responsibilities without direct supervision.

• Month End Close Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
• Proficient with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
