Description Robert Half has an opening for a Payroll Clerk at a growing company in the Massillon, Ohio area whose main responsibility will be to support the Payroll department in a number of duties. The company is a dynamic, fast-growing team, looking for an individual who can communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk position requires the candidate to perform data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and provide statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is offered on a long-term contract / temporary to hire basis.
Key responsibilities
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets
Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Configure custom reports
Build a system of administering and distributing reports
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc Requirements - Foundational knowledge in Multi-state Payroll
Process Bi-weekly Payroll experience required
Process Weekly Check experience
ADP - Payroll experience desired
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Previous payroll experience
Payroll software experience is a plus
