Description
Robert Half seeks an enterprising, strong Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a growing, dynamic company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Key responsibilities
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met
Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Requirements - Proven technical skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Good understanding of Financial Forecast
Wide ranging experience with financial analysis
General familiarity with Balance Sheets
Proven knowledge of variance analysis
Excel Formulas experience desired
Earlier work involving Financial Close Process
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Analyze Variance experience
Quality experience with Complex Financial Analysis
Well-founded grasp of Variance Explanations
Deep understanding of month end closings
Experience with Inventory Variance
Practical knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
