In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This could be the ideal position for you, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Responsibilities
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll Requirements - experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Command of Adaptive Insights
Deltek experience desired
University Degree experience
University Degree experience preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Efficient in ERP systems
