Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in Midland, Texas

Description We are inviting applications for a strategic and detail-oriented Help Desk Analyst in the retail industry, based in Midland, Texas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing IT projects, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and supporting our mobile applications, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, analyze, and respond to service requests via various channels such as phone line and email ticketing system.

• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues remotely and in person.

• Document all cases in a detailed and efficient manner within our IT Service Management system.

• Efficiently manage IT projects within scope, budget and time constraints.

• Train users in the use of equipment and software following IT procedures and policies.

• Escalate tickets to appropriate support staff when necessary.

• Follow up with end users frequently on all open tickets.

• Report and process users’ feedback and product requests.

• Perform equipment installations, repairs, moves, network hook-ups when necessary.

• Assist users with mobile device setup, including email, VPN and Wi-Fi access.

• Setup new users, reset passwords, and manage group membership within an Active Directory environment.

• Assist in keeping track of all IT assets via IT inventory system.

As this role requires a certain level of expertise, we are looking for candidates who possess skills such as Desktop Support, Desktop Hardware, Laptop Hardware, Basic Troubleshooting, and Network Troubleshooting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Help Desk Analyst or similar role within the retail industry

• Proficient in Desktop Support and Desktop Hardware

• Familiarity with Laptop Hardware is essential

• Possess Basic Troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge and experience in Network Troubleshooting

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with different levels of management

• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills as technology changes
