Description We have a new opportunity for a Mailroom Assistant with an organization in the Midland, Texas area. Interested candidates should apply via Robert Half to be considered for this Mailroom Assistant role. Mailroom Assistants excited to receive and sort mail and packages in a centralized room before distributing the items to appropriate departments and individuals will be interested in this thriving company's new position. We also need the person we hire to manage and maintain physical and digital mail-sorting systems. This long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity is based in the Midland, Texas area.
Your responsibilities
Employ clerical tasks like word processing, filing, scanning, archiving, and faxing
Enter, group, and/or distribute mail and packages
Affirm optimal machine performance by troubleshooting simple problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.)
Avert assembly errors by maintaining an organized work station
Secure data within allotted time frames
Advise employees complete diverse projects as necessary
Get high volume of letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents within specified guidelines
Admit and sort all incoming mail and packages from various carriers
Operate mail processing equipment Requirements - Strong time management skills preferred
Efficient in handling office equipment
Facilities management experience required
Facilities Coordinator experience desired
Proficiency in Daily Mail
Background working with Distribute Incoming Mail
Demonstrated knowledge of Daily Mail
Adeptness in Equipment Repair
Good understanding of Mail Center
Deliver Mail experience
Direct Mail experience highly preferred
Foundational knowledge in hand skills
Knowledge of Certified Mail
File Boxes experience highly desired
Practical knowledge of Department Mail
Experience with mailrooms
Earlier work involving Inter-Office Mail
Mail Packages experience highly valued
General familiarity with Bulk Mailings
Demonstrated knowledge of Emergency Repairs
Previous experience working with mail distribution
Hands-on experience with Mailbox
Prior experience with Mailers
Delivers Mail experience
Comprehension of mail processing
Mailing List experience preferred
Deep understanding of Facility
General familiarity with Electrical Repairs
Adeptness in Certified Mail
Comprehensive knowledge of Bulk Mailings
This most important thing for any applicant to this position is to be flexible and focused
Fulfill general clerical operations tasks that are routine and/or repetitive in nature
A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
1+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume mailroom setting
- Competent in mail processing at organizational level
