Description Robert Half has an opportunity for you to become a critical part of an innovative company, as a permanent Staff Accountant. This position is ideal for those who driven by a challenging work environment with many components. This Staff Accountant position is for candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be interested in this position if you want to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every day
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments Requirements - Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Internal Control experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of Excel Formulas
Skilled with ERP systems
