Description

Robert Half is looking for a Director of Human Resources for a Milwaukee area organization.

The Director of Human Resources is a strategic partner within the organization responsible for managing and overseeing the complete spectrum of Human Resource functions. This role is primarily engaged in talent development, policy and procedure creation, problem-solving, and maintaining robust HR practices to ensure employee satisfaction and overall company productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Talent Development: You will prioritize nurturing and developing talent within the organization. This entails focused initiatives on employee training, mentorship programs, leadership development, and succession planning.

  2. Policy and Procedure Creation: You will be entrusted with the responsibility of developing, revising, and implementing HR policies and procedures. This will require maintaining a working knowledge of current HR laws and ensuring company-wide compliance.

  3. Problem Solving: As the Director of HR, you will act as a consultant and mediator for all staff on HR and employment matters. This requires proactive problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and the ability to work constructively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.

  2. Proven ability in implementing HR strategy and delivering operational excellence.

  3. Excellent skills in coaching, conflict resolution, relationship and team building.

  4. Strong knowledge in talent development.

  5. Demonstrated ability in creating and implementing policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate would not only have extensive experience in HR leadership roles but would possess exceptional people-management skills, a high degree of problem-solving capability, and a deep understanding of the strategic role HR plays within an organization.
