Description Your main responsibilities in this position would include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Must have excellent time management skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Grant accounting experience desired
