Contracts Specialist- JM To $80,000 plus benefits My client is a successful government contractor located in Montgomery County. They are looking to hire a Contracts Specialist to report to the Project Manager covering the following main duties: Close out research and development contracts. Create and enforce contract expiration letters. Maintain completed contracts, making sure all forms on the Closeout Checklist are complete and filed appropriately. Inquire about missing documents relating to contracts. Communicate with Officers on Contract as needed. Obtain statements from contractors indicating that each subcontract has been settled. Process all vouchers using different cost rates and reconcile all vouchers against the Warehouse spreadsheet. Settle interim and disallowed costs with the contractor. Complete the Statement of Completion and Certification. Change contract status to Administratively Closed in Merlin, NBS, and DCIS. Obtain final property inventories from contractors and property disposition memo from the contract specialist. Perform a desk audit. Complete documents regarding uploading information onto contract systems. Complete documents regarding maintaining all contract close out files, update the list and location of the closed files and maintain all spread sheets in excel on the status of all expired contracts including the standard operating procedures.
