Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in New Castle, Delaware
Description We are in search of a dedicated Attorney/Lawyer to join our Legal team based in New Castle, Delaware. The selected candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of defending insured and self-insured clients in high exposure cases within various areas of general liability. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in Delaware litigation practice and a strong ability to carry out extensive legal research.
Responsibilities:
• Defend insured and self-insured clients in high exposure cases across various areas of general liability.
• Oversee case management, discovery, and participation in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and assist in developing legal arguments.
• Handle case management software and legal software for streamlined operations.
• Use LexisNexis and other management systems for efficient case handling.
• Carry out briefing, civil litigation, claim administration, and complaint handling.
• Manage documentation and execute insurance defense litigation. Requirements • Must hold a degree in law from an accredited law school
• Must have a valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney/lawyer
• Proficiency in using legal software such as 3M, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation and insurance defense litigation
• Skilled in claim administration and complaint handling
• Excellent documentation skills with keen attention to detail
• Proven ability to prepare and deliver effective briefings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Strong ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct
• Must be willing to continue learning to stay updated with changes in the law
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases at once.
