Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in New York, New York. This role is primarily focused on maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The industry is non-profit, and the location is in Manhattan. The workplace environment is dynamic, and the job function involves meticulous financial detail management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Process payroll for employees in compliance with federal and state labor laws.
• Generate monthly financial statements using QuickBooks to support financial decision-making.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial data, report, and record bookkeeping activities.
• Perform data entry operations with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Operate and manage the month-end close process diligently and accurately.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial computations and record maintenance.
• Manage bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping for the organization. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations
• Expertise in Bookkeeping
• Data Entry skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Payroll management
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
