Description The innovative team at Robert Half is in need of a Senior Accountant with terrific experience and know-how for a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in the Non-Profit industry. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Ad-hoc projects as required
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners Requirements - Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Lawson experience preferred
Quality experience with Credit Card Reconciliation
Microsoft Excel experience
Well-founded grasp of Bank Account Reconciliation
Proven knowledge of account reconciliation
Proficiency in cash management
Solid understanding of journal entries
Prepare Financial Statements experience
General familiarity with bank reconciliations
Practical knowledge of account reconciliation
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Candidate accomplished in financial reporting is ideal
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
