Description
We are currently seeking a talented Civil Litigation Attorney to join our client in Newport Beach. This is a hybrid position, offering a blend of remote work and office presence. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong background in corporate law and shareholder disputes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct discovery, trial preparation, and other litigation-related tasks.
Prepare depositions and assist the lead attorney in doing so, including drafting summaries.
Utilize the Westlaw Co-Counsel tool for legal research, with the flexibility to draft from scratch as needed.
Handle motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, and demurrers.
Practice areas include shareholder disputes, general litigation, and corporate structure.
Understand corporate structure, LLCs, and financial systems, including processing checks, distributing checks to shareholders, and maintaining meeting minutes.
Requirements
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
CA licensed attorney.
5-7 years of experience in civil litigation.
Experience with shareholder disputes, general litigation, and corporate law.
Strong understanding of corporate structure and financial systems.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools, including Westlaw.
