Robert Half Technology Network Administrator in North Little Rock, Arkansas

Provide overall structure and reporting for creating and maintaining the network, systems, and personal computer infrastructure required to ensure that each user's productivity is maximized. This approach must seek to achieve 100% uptime for all local and remote employees and will support the business strategy. Develops, monitors, and tests all backups (e.g., data, configuration, software) for all systems to ensure "zero" data loss in the event of hardware/software failure and/or corruption. This includes oversight of the following Computer Systems Administration functions:

  • Microsoft Exchange/Active Directory

  • Microsoft Servers, Standard, SQL

  • File/Print Server Management

  • Workstation/Printer Management

  • Router/Switch/HUB/Wireless Configuration

  • Network User Maintenance

  • Software/Hardware Maintenance

  • Computer Training Duties and responsibilities

  • Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures.

  • Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.

  • Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.

  • Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.

  • Prepares users by designing/conducting and/or recommending training programs.

  • Updates job knowledge as required.

  • Maintains and protects all confidential information.
