Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, identifying issues, and recommending corrective actions. This role also involves providing support for application issues and offering assistance to application support personnel, as well as participating in system upgrades and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and support Microsoft Windows and Linux servers.
• Install updates and patches, as necessary.
• Maintain and support enterprise backups and restores.
• Troubleshoot server issues and upgrade hardware as needed.
• Monitor servers for faults and ensure anti-virus software is up to date.
• Assist other members of the technical team as needed.
• Develop and maintain domain configurations.
• Support application issues and offer assistance to application support personnel.
• Identify and understand new technologies, recommending them when applicable.
• Participate in planned downtimes for system upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Be part of an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Requirements • The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server is required
• Experience in Linux System Administration is essential
• Knowledge of System Patching techniques is required
• Proficiency in Active Directory management is expected
• Familiarity with Virtualization technologies is necessary
• Experience with VMware is a prerequisite
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
