Accounting Manager

My client is a growing financial institution located in Baltimore County who is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. The Accounting Manager will report into the Controller and oversee a small team. This is an important strategic hire for the organization, and will be the process owner for a number of areas. Responsibilities for this position include:
Oversight of month-end close and accounting operations
Ensuring assigned accounting/reporting areas maintain an adequate internal control environment
Staff training, management and development
Assist with the annual audit and tax process as necessary

Requirements
• B.S. Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
• CPA is preferred
