As an Accounting Clerk your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Handle accounts payable, including entry, processing, and reconciliation.

  • Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers

  • Oversee time and attendance tracking management.

  • Perform billable time entries.

  • Track and reconcile attorney bar dues.

  • Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

  • Provide support to IT, Administration, and other departments as needed.

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Clerk candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 3 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar capacity

  • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices

  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a plus.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel
