We are proud to represent a distinguished plaintiff's law firm, recently recognized as a top-tier firm for their exceptional Mass Tort / Consolidated Action practice. Presently, we are in search of a skilled Mid-Level Defense Litigation Paralegal to join the law firm's esteemed team in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This role encompasses providing comprehensive paralegal, administrative, and legal assistance to our esteemed attorneys. After an initial training period, this position will operate in a hybrid capacity, with occasional full-time in-office requirements during trials or special projects. Some travel may be necessary, and flexibility to work overtime is expected. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exhibit proficiency in handling legal filings, briefing, and meticulous citation checks, ensuring accuracy in formal documents and legal memoranda.

• Expertise in navigating the federal PACER/ECF electronic filing system and familiarity with state court electronic filing systems.

• Conduct thorough factual research using electronic research tools to fortify case development.

• Support trial preparation endeavors such as formatting legal documents, assembling trial notebooks, and arranging exhibits.

• Collaborate with external platforms for data downloads and maintain files according to prescribed conventions.

• Execute intricate editing and formatting of correspondence, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Craft routine correspondence and memoranda tailored for clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

• Effectively manage document databases and ensure files are up to date.

Requirements

SKILLS

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a polished professional demeanor.

• Strong attention to detail and remarkable organizational prowess to manage tasks efficiently.

• Ability to prioritize assignments in a dynamic environment and adapt to shifting demands.

• Demonstrated capability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships across all organizational levels.

• Self-motivated with the agility to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting.

• Proficiency in critical thinking, enabling adept problem-solving and agile prioritization of tasks.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree is desirable or equivalent practical experience.

  • Successful completion of an ABA-accredited paralegal certificate program.

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in handling intricate litigation matters within a legal practice.

  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of e-filing systems and litigation support tools such as Relativity, Lexus, and Westlaw.

  • Strong computer and internet research abilities, with the ability to quickly learn and utilize new software platforms.
