Robert Half Development Accounting Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is seeking an ambitious, experienced Development Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. In this Development Accounting Manager position, you will be responsible for supporting the Development Team in a day-to-day accounting capacity including the preparation of development draw requests, management of accounts receivables/payables, budgets, pay applications, invoice review/processing, etc. This Development Accounting Manager role is based in the Philadelphia area and is a permanent employment opportunity that is not to be missed!

Responsibilities:

  • Review draw and invoice submissions for compliance with general standards and completeness including sworn statement and lien waiver review as well as contract compliance.

  • Receive and organize invoices and contractor pay applications for internal review and outside equity/lender review and approval.

  • Manage web-based accounting system including invoice entry, contract assignment, and focused monitoring of internal review and approval steps.

  • Review and post new vendors, contracts and invoices/pay applications.

  • Collaborate with the Development Team and AP staff to ensure invoices are paid on time and deadlines are met.

    Requirements

The ideal Development Accounting Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. MBA or CPA strongly recommended.

Other requirements for the Development Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of Industrial or commercial real estate, or Construction Industry experience.

  • Construction draw related tasks/experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with various accounting software and databases, prior Yardi experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity.

  • Ability to identify and take on critical projects, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic/challenging environment.
