Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are in search of a Payroll Administrator to join our team in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our payroll processes, including payroll administration, compliance, and reporting for both hourly and salaried employees. You will be tasked with maintaining and updating employee payroll records, handling compensation changes, and resolving payroll-related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration of bi-weekly and weekly payroll for both hourly (union and non-union) and salaried employees.

• Handle multi-state payroll processes, including pay adjustments, benefit deductions, commission payments, garnishments, and taxes.

• Maintain and update employee payroll records diligently.

• Timely and accurately enter compensation changes, deduction adjustments, and other adjustments.

• Calculate final pay for terminations and first pay for new hires.

• Address employees' payroll-related inquiries via phone, email, or in person.

• Review payroll audit reports prior to processing to identify and resolve payroll issues.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports for accounting and HR departments.

• Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

• Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism in all related tasks. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration.

• Expertise in Accounting and Benefit Functions.

• Familiarity with Check Processing and NetSuite.

• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll and Multistate Payroll.

• Proven ability to manage Payroll for over 500 Employees and Multi-State Payroll.

• Knowledge of Payroll Garnishments and Union Payroll.

• Ability to handle Payroll Taxes.

• Experience with bi-weekly and weekly Payroll processing.

• Proficiency in reconciling Payroll.

• Familiarity with Workday Payroll.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable data privacy rules and regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
