Robert Half Help Desk Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description We are in the process of hiring a Help Desk Analyst based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15227, United States. This role involves providing technical assistance to both on-site and off-site employees via various communication channels such as calls, emails, instant messages, or tickets. The Help Desk Analyst will be responsible for documentation, resolution, or escalation of any technical issues that arise. This role also entails assisting in basic hardware and software installations.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to inquiries from employees seeking help with software or computer-related issues in a detail oriented and friendly manner.

• Troubleshoot and resolve service desk tickets related to technical difficulties with hardware, software, and the network.

• Assist with basic hardware and software installations.

• Participate in developing documentation, knowledge base, and best practice guides.

• Perform root cause analysis, develop checklists for typical problems, and recommend procedures and controls.

• Ensure all security and operational controls are followed/enforced to maintain a secure, available, and private IT environment.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of technologies, hosted applications, and services.

• Troubleshoot issues from inception to resolution, escalating tickets as needed, all while maintaining best practices throughout.

• Utilize skills in Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft, Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deskside Support, Desktop Hardware, and Microsoft Office 365.

• Independently problem solve and propose solutions to both technical and non-technical clients. Requirements • Proficiency in Citrix Technologies

• Familiarity with Database management

• Experience with EO/IR systems

• Knowledge of Lotus Notes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

• Experience working with Active Directory

• Understanding of Computer Hardware

• Proficiency in Configuration Management

• Experience in Deskside Support

• Familiarity with Desktop Hardware

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

• Ability to troubleshoot and mitigate technical issues

• Strong communication skills to liaise with different levels of users

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Previous experience in a help desk or customer support role is a plus
