Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with exposure to benefits administration. The ideal candidate is proficient in ADP Workforce and Microsoft Excel. This role also requires an understanding of benefits enrollment processes, and the ability to assist our employees in this area.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process payroll for employees using the ADP Workforce platform.

Maintain and update payroll records to ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions.

Ensure compliance with company policy, as well as local, state, and federal laws, in all payroll and benefits matters.

Review and verify timesheets, overtime calculations, holiday and leave pay, and other pertinent payroll-related data.

Coordinate with the human resources and accounting departments to ensure accurate benefits and payroll information.

Assist in employee benefits enrollment, answering employee questions, guiding them through the process, and addressing any related issues.

Reconcile benefits statements and confirming all calculations before they go to audit.

Use Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze payroll and benefits data and create reports.

Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

Proven experience as a payroll specialist, with proficiency in ADP Workforce.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Vlookups and pivot tables.

Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.

Understanding of benefits enrollment processes, with some exposure to benefits administration.

Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service orientation.

Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and discretion.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
