Description
We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced senior accountant to join our company's growing team. Your duties will include overseeing daily transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, participating in budgeting processes, internal audits, and implementing financial policies. You will also collaborate with our accounting and financial team, assist in financial tasks, and ensure that accounting operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical).
Preparation and submission of quarterly and annual financial reports.
Oversee team members' day-to-day account transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and bank reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
Monitor accounting discrepancies and report them to the Accounting Manager.
Ensure accuracy in general ledger.
Coordinate internal and external audits, manage tax payments, and return filings.
Participates in financial projects and compiles with legislative requirements.
Liaise with other departments to improve financial procedures and ensure smooth operation of the company.
Provide guidance and contribute to the detail oriented development of entry level accountants.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a senior accountant with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
CPA designation is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and good analytical skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
