Robert Half Accounting Manager in Portland, Oregon

Description

We are offering a contract opportunity for an Accounting Manager with a publicly traded client located in Portland, Oregon. This role involves managing and improving accounting processes and systems. The position requires an individual with strong accounting skills and experience with accounting software systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly close process, including the review of reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring the process is completed by the required deadlines.

• Review and prepare reconciliations.

• Handle intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Monitor and improve internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting.

• Implement improvements to existing accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement best practices in accounting management.

• Demonstrate proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems and other related tools.

• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, ensuring all accounts are accurately represented and any discrepancies are addressed promptly.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage all Accounting Functions.

• Capable of managing and executing Month End Close processes.

• Previous experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is necessary.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to lead a team and manage individual performance.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and data management.

• Familiarity with tax planning and compliance is advantageous.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
