Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is inviting applications for an HR Manager role based in Portland, Oregon. The chosen individual will be instrumental in shaping our organization's future and culture, focusing on staff development, employee engagement, and retention, and succession planning. This role is pivotal to our organization's mission of strengthening communities through affordable housing, holistic services, and advocacy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop HR department goals, objectives, programs, and systems in line with the strategic plan and in collaboration with senior leadership.

• Provide specialized guidance on talent acquisition, organizational structure, and employee engagement.

• Implement leadership and staff development programs.

• Develop and manage culturally driven HR programs, processes, and policies to optimize the employee experience.

• Lead the creation of a tailored employee recognition program that aligns with the organization's values, priorities, and business needs.

• Advise senior leaders and managers on employee relations issues, such as job performance, disciplinary action, and conflict resolution.

• Lead a comprehensive, equitable, and market-driven compensation program consistent with organizational goals.

• Oversee vendor contracts, such as PEO, HRIS, and staffing firms.

• Manage the duties of the HR Generalist, including recruiting, onboarding, and benefits and leave administration.

Requirements • Proven experience in Human Resources or related field

• Proficiency in Employee Relations and Benefits Administration

• Demonstrated experience in Change Management

• Knowledge and understanding of Compensation & Benefits

• Familiarity with HR Compliance and HR Policy

• Ability to develop and implement HR Strategy

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Proven ability to manage Onboarding and New Employee Orientation processes

• Knowledge of Policies & Procedures

• Experience with managing Terminations

• Familiarity with Training & Development programs

• Understanding of Workers Compensation

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
