Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is looking for a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Portland, Oregon. The role will focus on maintaining our general ledger, assisting with taxes, preparing for audits, and managing budget reporting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance of the organization's general ledger, including monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and expense accounts.

• Review reconciliations of multiple investment pools and post investment return allocations to all funds.

• Monitor and verify the appropriateness of fund allocations, ensuring adherence to the terms of fund agreements.

• Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax returns and assist with annual tax return preparation.

• Stay abreast of accounting and tax issues related to the industry and apply this knowledge to our operations.

• Develop and oversee special financial reporting, and participate in process improvement projects.

• Serve as a backup support for other Finance and Fund Services staff members as required.

• Prepare select audit work papers, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of draft annual financial statements.

• Document accounting processes and initiate process improvement projects as needed.

• Review and distribute monthly budget reports and serve as a resource for budget questions from other departments.

• Use skills in General Ledger and Month End Close, and apply CPA Designation where necessary.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Senior Accountant.

• Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.

• Should have a strong understanding and experience working with General Ledger.

• Proficiency in managing Month End Close tasks is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Experience in preparing financial reports and statements is required.

• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
