Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Poway, California
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in Poway, California. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the billing manager, managing patient coordination, scheduling, and insurance verifications. You will work in a medical industry environment, requiring proficiency in ICD-10 codes and understanding of medical benefits.
Responsibilities:
• Providing back office support as required by the Billing Manager
• Reading and posting EOB's to the system with accuracy
• Assisting in obtaining EOB's from various insurance websites
• Reviewing accounts for outstanding insurance and patient balances
• Coordinating patient schedules and managing appointments
• Verifying insurance details for patients
• Applying knowledge of ICD-10 codes in daily tasks
• Retrieving and returning voicemails in a timely manner
• Contacting patients for scheduling and other related matters. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Billing
• Proficient in using ICD-10 and ICD Codes for medical billing
• Knowledgeable about Medical Benefits and Health Insurance
• Familiarity with EOB - Explanation of Benefits is essential
• Experience in assisting patients with their billing inquiries
• Proficient in using VoiceMail Systems for communication
• Demonstrated expertise in contacting patients regarding their billing status
• Experience in scheduling patients for medical appointments is necessary.
