Robert Half Billing Analyst in Raleigh, North Carolina

Description

We are seeking a well-organized and capable Billing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, account set up, billing process oversight, preparing and sending out invoices, handling missed payments, and ensuring clients are charged correctly for services rendered. They will report directly to the Finance Manager and collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate and send out invoices to clients post the completion of services.

  2. Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments correctly.

  3. Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments, and irregularities.

  4. Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.

  5. Investigate and resolve customer queries through communication with cross-functional teams.

  6. Process adjustment to customer accounts.

  7. Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.

  8. Generate periodic reports detailing billing and collection activities.

  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to billing.

  10. Assist in financial and auditing procedures as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.

  2. Proven working experience as a Billing Specialist for two or more years.

  3. Proficiency in Billing software and MS Office (particularly Excel).

  4. Strong knowledge in generally accepted accounting principles, fiscal control and procedures.

  5. Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  6. Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to customers and other staff members.
