Description
This job is ideal for a Financial Analyst with outstanding technical skills. To be considered for this Financial Analyst position, you must have several years of finance/accounting experience and be well versed in Microsoft D365. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, so you must be local to Raleigh/Durham to be considered. Skilled Financial Analyst candidates will be interested in this opportunity if they enjoy system implementations and supporting several business groups. As the Financial Analyst, your responsibilities with consist of Microsoft D365 implementation and support. This will primarily involve the financial models, like General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Accounts Receivable. You will also measure, analyze, and forecast system performance in conjunction with operating plans. Other essential tasks include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. Interact with team members in a business partner role in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and management. If you consider this position exciting, you should contact Robert Half. Key responsibilities
System implementation and support
Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Survey performance to date and assess potential opportunities and risks
Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Produce and monitor forecasting reports
Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Work with the Accounting team on reporting requests
Work alongside senior executives on strategic deep dives to create financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Requirements
Command of Financial Analytics
General familiarity with Determining System Improvements
Fixed assets experience highly desired
Business analysis experience
General Ledger System experience preferred
Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)
MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience is required
Demonstrated knowledge of System Implementation
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
5+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferential)
