Robert Half is looking to recruit a Staff Accountant for one of their clients in Vermont who are looking to add to their accounting team. The ideal candidate is a positive team player, who is ready to jump into a fast paced department and is comfortable working with people from multiple divisions. This position will also be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting as related to multiple projects.
Responsibilities
Accounts payable and receivables
Bank Deposits
Creating and maintaining project accounting folders
General journal entries
Assist in Invoicing/Client Projects billing
Job expense reporting
Project Management
Account reconciliations
Credit Card reconciliations
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong email and telephone communications
Experience with Deltek is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
Reporting Structure: Reports into the Controller who is a great guy and will train/ mentor/ develop this person quickly
Keys:
4+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or ready to step into a Staff Accountant role
Engineering/construction or professional services experience highly preferred with time and billing experience
Any payroll experience helpful not required
Strong Excel
