Entry-Level Civil Litigation Attorney in Reading, PA

Exciting Entry Level Opportunity in Litigation and Civil Law in Reading, PA (Berks County). Our client is a well-respected 30+ year old local law firm looking for someone to join their dynamic team as an Entry Level Attorney specializing in Litigation. In this role, you will be an integral part of a growing legal practice, handling a diverse range of litigation cases. This is a chance for an enthusiastic individual to launch their legal career in a supportive and thriving environment. Types of law that you can be involved in include: Personal Injury, Municipal Law, Litigation, Election/Campaign law, Complex Business Litigation, Real Estate, Business Law, Regulatory law

Duties:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation proceedings

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies

• Attend court proceedings and assist with trial preparation

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders

• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations

• Other tasks as assigned to support the litigation team

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor / Juris Doctorate (JD / J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Admission to the Pennsylvania (PA) Bar

• No prior experience required – fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

• Strong analytical and research skills

• Excellent written and oral communication abilities

• Enthusiasm for living and working in the Reading area

• Political interest at the local level considered a plus- Licensed attorney

Additional Skills Include:

• Case Management Software experience

• General familiarity with Claim Administration

• Foundational knowledge in Local Law

• Previous experience working with Municipalities

• Well-founded grasp of Civil Litigation

• Wide ranging experience with municipal bond financing

• Management System experience

• Earlier work involving municipal bonds

• LexisNexis experience

• Quality experience with documentation

• Prior experience with business & commercial law

• Proven knowledge of Briefing

• Practical knowledge of Complaint Handling

• Excellent academic credentials and references

• High attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Able to handle multiple assignments, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules
