Robert Half Staff Accountant in Richardson, Texas
Description We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. The position is based in Richardson, Texas, United States. The selected candidate will be responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information, perform general ledger, and financial reporting functions.
Responsibilities include:
• Recording revenue, payroll, and expense accrual journal entries
• Preparing variance explanations for month-end results
• Creating financial presentations for Operations
• Preparing income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Conducting ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support Operations
• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end audit support schedules
• Assisting with documentation of new business acquisitions and new accounting procedures
• Other duties as assigned
Skills required:
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge and experience in Bank Reconciliations is required
• Familiarity with General Ledger management is essential
• Must be able to handle Journal Entries proficiently
• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary
• Must have working knowledge of NetSuite software
• Proficiency in Oracle software is desirable
• QuickBooks expertise is required
• Knowledge of SAP software is a plus
• Previous experience in healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industries is a bonus
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant qualification is preferred
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
