Robert Half DevOps Engineer in Richmond, Virginia
Description We are offering a unique opportunity in Richmond, Virginia for a talented DevOps Engineer. As a member of our team, you will be focused on enhancing our technology infrastructure, with a specific focus on automation and security. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and will require a strong understanding of cloud-based systems and the ability to lead projects independently.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage scripts and tools for deployment using PowerShell
• Manage and maintain Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
• Ensure the security of Exchange systems, both on-premises and cloud-based
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and deploy sustainable update methodologies
• Provide operational engineering and support for the organization's O365 environment and other collaboration tools
• Design and test plans to ensure the stability and integrity of systems
• Troubleshoot and analyze failures to minimize outages and service interruptions
• Administer, support, maintain, and deploy various O365-based business solutions
• Establish standards, processes, and configuration guidelines for collaboration services
• Work with AWS technologies, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apex Coding, Atlassian Jira, and other relevant skills.
Skills:
• Experience with Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apex Coding, Atlassian Jira, Automation, AWS Technologies, Configuration Management, Continuous Integration (CI), Create Dashboards, Azure AD Connect, PowerShell Scripting, Azure Active Directory
• Proficiency in managing messaging systems, such as Exchange Online and bulk messaging platforms
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead projects independently. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a DevOps role
• Proficiency in Amazon EC2 and AWS Technologies
• Familiarity with Ansible and Configuration Management
• Experience with Apache ANT+ and Apex Coding
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and creating dashboards
• Knowledge of Automation and Continuous Integration (CI) practices
• Experience with Azure AD Connect, Azure Active Directory, and PowerShell Scripting
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
