Robert Half Senior Auditor in Rolling Meadows, Illinois

Description We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our team in the Insurance - Casualty industry, located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This role will focus on coordinating all aspects of internal financial controls and play a crucial role in maintaining our Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across all business lines and corporate functional areas. You will also be tasked with developing control standards, managing control-related projects, and identifying process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the coordination of all aspects of internal financial controls

• Provide subject matter expertise on control matters

• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across all lines of business and corporate functional areas

• Assist in developing company-wide control standards

• Manage control-related projects

• Partner with the business to identify solutions and process improvements

• Provide training on control-related initiatives

• Use A-Systems to perform job functions effectively and efficiently

• Report to the Director of SOX and ERM

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials are highly desirable.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in the insurance industry.

• Proficiency in A-Systems or a similar financial software is a must.

• Strong knowledge of auditing techniques and standards, as well as accounting principles and procedures.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Solid understanding of risk and control concepts, and ability to apply these concepts to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a range of audiences.

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for audits or continuous learning opportunities.
